Dr. Hofman has been interested in agricultural issues all her life. Raised in an agricultural region in Bahia, Brazil, she began her university studies at age 17, studying biology at the University of Missouri. She later joined the USDA’s Agricultural Research Service in Byron, GA, as a postdoctoral research associate. Camila has worked with multiple pests and diseases that affect agricultural systems in the U.S.
